Visitor sign-in apps are built for office lobbies. Yours has to hold up to a port state inspection.

  • The search actually gets asked for. Set your search level and the iPad will block visitor access until cleared.

Hours of Rest on a crew phone, a non-conformity flagged against the STCW minimum

Hours of Rest crew actually fill in.

The Hours of Rest spreadsheet gets filled in on the last day of the month. This goes in at the end of the day, on the crew member's own phone.

  • A short night has to be explained on the spot. Each day is checked against MLC 2006 and STCW as it goes in. A non-conformity needs a reason before the day will save.
  • Comments live on the record. The Head of Department and the Captain write on the month inside the app, where the crew member sees it.
  • Red days ring the right phone. A non-conformity reaches the Head of Department within the minute; a missed day nudges the crew member that evening.
  • The watch rota is on the same phone. Whoever is on watch gets a push when a round is due. The handover note is there for the next watch.
