How long does a contractor pass last?
As long as you set, up to 90 days. When the yard period ends the passes stop working on their own, and any pass can be revoked in one press.
Do contractors still get searched?
Yes, if they are picked. A pass skips the sign-in steps, not the ISPS search. It applies to everyone at the level the vessel sets.
What if someone forgets to sign out?
Automatic check-out signs out everyone still on the board at the time you set, and you get an email if someone is aboard past it. A missed sign-out can be corrected afterwards, and who changed it is kept.
Can the yard have the record?
Yes. Every contractor visit is in the log with who they were working for, when they arrived and left, and whether they were searched. Export it as a PDF for the yard, the management company or port state control.
