The crew app

The half of it
that lives in a pocket.

Muster Mate is the free app that comes with The Muster App. The iPad handles the gangway; this handles everyone aboard. Every crew member, every plan, iOS and Android.

Their duties, and the alarm signal.

Every crew member carries their own muster station, what they are responsible for, and the alarm signal for each emergency. Nobody has to find the board in the passageway, and nobody has to remember which signal means abandon ship.

Rest hours, logged on the day.

A day is a couple of time ranges. Pickers snap to 15 minutes, breaks sit inside the work period, and a day off is marked as a rest day in one control. Every MLC limit is checked as the day is entered — on the phone, so the verdict does not wait for signal.

Done where the work is.

A round gets completed in the engine room, not written up afterwards from memory. Checklists, deliveries, notices and COSWP topics all sit on the same phone, so the crew are not carrying a clipboard to a computer at the end of a watch.
